Energy (Electricity and Natural Gas) Program

 

The market environment has changed dramatically since the launch of our initial electricity program in 2009.  Based on feedback from our members and our external energy industry subject matter expert, Sourcing Office re-designed our program to provide an electricity and natural gas (“Energy”) solution in partnership with a third-party, independent energy management consultant, OnDemand Energy.

 

Program Benefits:

Sourcing Office’s energy procurement services program for electricity and natural gas includes:

z  Identifying strategies to optimize affiliates’ Energy pricing and mitigate market risks;

z  Securing energy price quotes and contract terms through a competitive procurement process tailored to each affiliate’s unique needs;

z  Developing and presenting Energy procurement recommendations for each affiliate;

z  Recommending changes in Energy purchasing strategies to affiliates on an ongoing basis.

 

As you know, Sourcing Office is a Council of Governments serving local governments, K-12 schools, and higher education institutions.  We offer group purchasing programs, shared services, and public sector capacity building services.  There is no cost to join Sourcing Office, and each of our programs is available to participating entities on an “a la carte” basis; you choose which programs to utilize based on your unique needs.
